Daniel Weiler, Direktor des Centre de gestion informatique de l'éducation (CGIE) im Bildungsministerium schätzt, dass es sich in den nächsten Jahren dahin entwickeln wird, dass jeder Schüler sein eigenes Tablet mitbringt, also „das Tablet ein normaler Bestandteil des Schulmaterials sein wird“. In Kürze werden in Luxemburger Schulen „Microsoft Surface Pro 3“-Geräte zum Einsatz kommen – eine Mischung aus Tablet und Laptop. „Über unsere nationale Cloud-Lösung 'eduCloud' können Schüler und Lehrer zudem von überall mit allen Geräten auf ihre Datein zugreifen“, sagt Weiler. Jos Bertemes, Direktor des Service de Coordination de la Recherche et de l’Innovation pédagogiques et technologiques (SCRIPT) im Bildungsministerium spricht bei dem „eduCloud“-Projekt gar von „einer neuen Dimension des Lernens“ – im Klassenraum und jenseits dieser.
