In discussions around education reform, we have begun to recognize that a one-size-fits-all model doesn’t work for all of our students, yet there’s little conversation about differentiating PD for teachers, despite differences in experience, content areas taught, and learning preferences.

A major shift in the force of education has emerged as teachers have become self-directed, independent designers of their own learning. Via Mary Perfitt-Nelson
Gust MEES's insight:
THE "Self-Directed" (autodidact) is very important, learning at its own pace and by own design; curation plays a big role there and I recommend to any Learner!
Curation together with Social Media Twitter and a PLN (Personal Learning Network) are an unbeatable Trio!

Imagine getting all of the key notes of the thought leaders in the conference pushed to you in real time. That is why we love Twitter with our conferences.
We have found twitter to be a great learning augmentation and support tool for conferences and key leanring events. We use a hashtag and then produce a tweetbook post conference and share with attendees. These community notelbooks are great to recap conferences in blog posts, share learning with people unable to attend, and extend the insights from the conferences.

You can ONLY give BEST and QUALITY courses when knowing about the latest knowledge in a 21st Century Education. But ===> HOW TO know this? <===
That’s a question I am getting asked very often from Teachers and Teacher-Students around the world through my Social Media presence on Twitter and I must say what I see on a global base doesn’t make me feel really happy!
Lots of teachers around the globe are tweeting, which I encourage to do as much as possible by joining ALSO a so called “PLN“, a “Personal Learning Network“, but ONLY a few shows a real understanding, competencies, about what they are doing; even the so called “Edu-Stars” in certain countries!

As a leader, communication skills rank near the top of our list of important skills. Because of their importance, these skills are talked about and written about a lot. Much training takes place every day, designed to help leaders get better at these important skills.
One of the reasons communication is difficult is that not everyone communicates in the same way, with the same tendencies or styles. This isn’t news; you already knew that.

I have recently published Teachers Guide to Personal/Professional Learning Networks ( PLNs ) in which I talked profusely about the importance of PLNs for our professional growth and I also provided some tools and tips on how to start creating your PLN from scratch.
I did received a lot of feedback following the publication of that guide and based on some suggestions and recommendations from you I made necessary changes to it and I am still updating it whenever needs be. Thank you so much for your collaboration.
A great guide...

Teaching is a noble calling. That is why when a teacher doesn't behave nobly it breaks trust and we get upset. I have to admit that I've had days as a "TT" (Terrible Teacher.) If we're honest with ourselves, we all have. It is usually when we're tired, grumpy or were woken up by a parent calling to complain about something we don't really agree with. But there are no excuses. As I've been teaching 10 years, I believe I have few days as a TT if any but there are certainly things I can improve upon
So, today, I'll share a few of the things I think make a teacher terrible.
What could be BETTER insight then one from a teacher! A MUST read...
