Open now at Artful Expressions, the boutique gallery curated by Sorcha Tyles, is the January 2017 featuring the art of Uma Sabra and KyRaLy (ElizzaLiza). As with the opening exhibition at the gallery (see here), these are two artists perfectly suited to being displayed together, their styles complimenting one another perfectly. Both artists focus on avatar studies, with each presenting pieces which largely – although not exclusively – focus of the face in close-up, with both opting for minimal backgrounds with their subjects. The resulting images are hauntingly evocative in tone, look and emotional content.
Running from 13:00 SLT on Wednesday, December 21st through until January 6th at Art on Roofs, is The Bridge by Terrygold, an exhibition of over 40 of her images and studies in what I think is the largest display of her work to date. Anyone familiar with Terrygold’s work, cannot help but be struck by her expressive use of monochrome, her minimal and striking use of colour and the manner in which props form an integral part of her images and the narratives they project. Seeing so many pieces on display here, complete with thematic groupings, really brings the extraordinary power and beauty of her work home.

Music: David Schomberg - "Morning Horizon" (Creative Commons License) Filmed in the virtual world of Second Life. Sculptures by Mistero Hifeng
This is a reminder that continuing through the end of December, The Joy Formidable by Livio Korobase can be found on the ground level of Berg by Nordan Art. You can ride paper airplanes, pose with cats and slow dance with a friend. There's a teleport sign near the SLurl landing from this blog up…
Two artists are currently on display within the galleries at Ayuda Virtual, LeMelonRouge (LeMelonRouge Onyett) – aka Francesc Palomas – and Desy Magic. They present very contrasting exhibitions which illustrate the breadth of 2D art potential in Second Life, whilst also touching on 3D art in-world as well.

"When I put on paper or canvas a thought, a dream or something real, seen with my eyes or perceived by my imagination, my concern is not that the others understand," Grazietta Blauvelt (Grazietta Cazenove) says of her art. "But that [by] looking at those traits and those colours. they are able to get excited…
Apmelina sometimes felt like she was being watched by aliens here and the work behind her on the above picture is actually called "Visit from Venus" but the notecard she picked up at the gallery was reassuring.
Abstract Line Art Gallery it's a 2D RL Work's compilation BY MORLITA Quan (MorlitaM).
The pictures here exposed are RL works which mix classical painting with a post graphic design work focused on the lights and geometry. Inspired by the nature, tries to show an abstract concept about the beautiful nature's shapes with a strong touch of the geometry , always guided by the feelings and the abstract touch.

Taking place at the Club LA and Gallery, curated by Fuyuko ‘冬子’ Amano (Wintergeist), Body Talk offers a collection of 16 pieces offered in a large format. Presented as a series of monochrome images, they form an evocative study of the human form and moods – not all of them necessarily suitable for viewing at work – with equally evocative titles: Desire, Cocoon, Jeux de Mains (“Hand Games”), No Regrets, and more.

My art column on ECLIPSE Magazine, “Art Perspective”, has its focus on Hifeng’s Art. Mistero Hifeng was born as an artist of the virtual world in 2014. His beginnings predate the Second Life® platform. He first began his art working in 3D software programs such as Blender and Cinema 4D.
On the December 10, 2016 Immersiva opened its doors to the last artistic work of Bryn Oh. It is an elaborate art installation that this fine artist realized in 3 months of hard work. The result is unprecedented because it is an elaborate art installation that consists in the narration of a story, the participation of the viewer through the experience and, of course, in complex 3D construction…
Visit Bryn Oh's Hand in Immersiva
The storyline follows a young girl, Flutter. It's a creative and interesting explore and although I didn't get any pics of them the textures on some of the walls along with the use of projectors were truly intriguing. Be sure to tip or purchase some of the items along the way or in the gacha in order for Bryn to continue to host these kinds of sims for us to explore. Enjoy and give yourself plenty of time as there is so much detail to think about and work through along the way.

The Vordun is proud to announce the addition of an exclusive piece to the permanent collection "European Masters." This quaint little painting by Dutch Golden Age painter Albert Jansz. Klomp (1625-1688) measures just 39 centimeters tall, and now hangs to-scale for you to view in-world. The subject of this pastoral landscape painting is in the title of the piece itself, A Bull in a Meadow with Goats near a Tree. Albert Klomp is known for painting pastoral scenes, and his pieces have often been mistaken for Paulus Potter, celebrated Dutch master. Klomp's pieces can be seen today in museums such as the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, and the Fitzwilliam Museum in England. This painting was recently acquired in real life by The Vordun, and recreated in 3-D mesh to exhibit exclusively at The Vordun's permanent collection European Masters: 300 Years of Painting. Plan your visit today! Click here to visit The Vordun Museum and Gallery http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fancy%20Decor/155/109/26
Opening today, Sunday, December 11, at 1 pm slt, is The Cruelty of Peace, an installation by artist Lilia Artis on LEA6. What at first seems like a charming, snowy landscape, with semi-transparent trees and plants shimmering in celadon and lilac, becomes a horrific scene as we witness what's happened: amid the pastoral setting, houses have been destroyed and burned, and bodies of families lie scattered on the cold ground nearby.

Opening Friday, December 9, at MetaLES, curated by Ux Hax and Romy Nayar, is OpeRaAnxiEty, a major immersive work by artist JadeYu Fhang. As the title suggests, it's a world filled with anxiety, and a mix of beauty and horror, with much left up to the viewer's interpretation. "I don't like notecards," JadeYu said as we discussed her work. "I prefer people search in their heads — I like when people create their own stories."
As of November 23, 2016, Dixmix Art Gallery hosts three incredible artists, Maloe Vansant, Isa Messioptra and Fingers Scintilla. At the entrance of the fine art gallery are photographs of Maloe Vansant that furnish the Black Gallery. In fact, Dixmix Art Gallery, offers three different types of prevailing colors: black, gray and white.
