Video of the week.  Belize Mek We Go tried some of Rodriguez' BBQ in Santa Elena, and then did some ziplining around Nohoch Che'en.

Bamboo Bar had a wild grand reopening party.  Lots of good, and loud, music from some great artists.  BBQ too.

"The sun was hot, the beers were cold and the environment was welcoming. The kids had the opportunity to ride a small train and their smiles brighten the environment even more. As the evening took over many presentations took place including the lighting of the Christmas tree. It was a great day for the San Ignacio people and for those that visited from other districts and other countries."

This evening in the new Cayo Welcome Center, Belikin will be having a debut party to introduce the Western Spirit Cycling Team.  They'll have specials on beer and BBQ too.  Go meet the cyclists, just look for the tent.  And listen for Mistah Geeh, who'll be mixing for your enjoyment.

The Snooty Fox Grill House is open Thursdays(3 - 10) through Sundays(11am - 10pm).  It's the first of many new restaurants with car washes.  Great BBQ, by the way.  Located on the Western highway just outside of Cayo.

Video of the day.  Cayo is known for its BBQ, and Jeevs came over to try some.  He teamed up with local photographer Quilz Tamay, and they headed over the Hawkesworth to Boiton's BBQ to try some of the best.  Well worth a watch, and it'll make you hungry.

Bamboo Bar is finished with their post-hurricane refurbishments, and they are celebrating by having a concert this Saturday, August 27th.  Ascenthium will be playing, along with Barefoot Skinny, and Eddie Allen!  Hot Taco will be there, and there will be BBQ.  New sand, new paint, and the same great food and drinks.

What a way to celebrate the grand opening of the new Cayo Welcome Center! During the day they had the Taste of Belize BBQ competition. At night, they had Panerrifix playing the steel drums, along with other live music, and a beer tent in front of the new Bamboo bar. The drinks were flowing.

The Cayo Welcome Center is ready for its grand opening tomorrow. The BTB will be having the Taste of Belize BBQ competition there tomorrow. Go see the competition taste some great BBQ, and have some fun.

The Purple Movement has pictures from their BBQ and bake sale they did at Cayo's Saturday market.  Talk about a fun time!  Lots of music, BBQ, pastries, and smiling faces.

Feelgood news of the day.  The BBQ fund raiser for Lucky Boy, the jaguar rescued from the resort down south - which mysteriously burned to the ground last week - was fun and raised not only some much needed money, but raised awareness of Lucky Boy's plight.  He should be fine.  There are 5 days left to donate money online on indiegogo.
