This year's Belmopan Youth Summer camps are getting ready to begin. The first 3, tennis, football, and softball, start on July 14th, and the second 3,, basketball, volleyball, and chess, start on the 28th. For more information, contact the Belmopan City Council. Have a fun Summer! "Spaces are still available for the annual summer camp that is slated to begin on the 14th of this month and sponsored by the Belmopan City Council, Hon. John Saldivar and the Bmp. Sports Council. Registration forms are available at the Council or at the Sports council office, Hilltop"

Panerrifix, the amazing steel band, will be playing at Banana Bank tomorrow night. The La Ruta Maya starts tomorrow at 7:00am, under the Hawkesworth Bridge, and finishes at Banana Bank. A big thanks to the Belmopan City Council for sponsoring the event.

Belmopan had their big Clean Up Campaign yesterday. Lots of volunteers came out to help with the beautification of Belmopan. Well done! "Some images of cleanup campaign held today 11th July 2015. Thanks to the Police cadets, Dept. of the environment , BAY U-21 basketball team, Scouts and Leo's, Councillors and workers from the Belmopan City Council."

The Belmopan City Council is doing a Clean Up Campaign tomorrow. They are asking all residents to clean trash and debris from their yards, and to help load the debris into the garbage truck as it passes. They are proactively seeking to eliminate mosquito borne diseases with this campaign. Great idea!

September is over, so here's one last album from the September Celebrations. The University of Belize had their Patriotic Day celebrations, and they recognized some outstanding patriots, and had poetry, song, and dress competitions.
"Two Belizeans were recognised for being outstanding patriots at the University of Belize Annual Patriotic Day held on September 18, at the Jaguar Auditorium, Belmopan. They are Mrs. Arcadia Carillo, who served Belize for 55 years as a teacher. The other recipient of this prestigious award was Rowan Garel for inspiring others through his accomplishments towards making Belize a better country for the visually impaired. Both patriots were presented with plaques by the Deputy Mayor of Belmopan City Council, Mr. Joel Westby."
