Whatever management book you read, or TED Talk you watch, or (virtual) conference you attend, you will be bombarded with tips on improving your business, career or life. Do this, do that, start this, start that.

If you followed all this well-intentioned advice, you'd be kicking off initiatives every hour of the day. Not a good idea.

Matching talent, skills and work culture can be one of the biggest challenges faced by the management in any organization. An inclusive workplace is a working environment that values the individual and group differences within its work force. It helps make diverse employees feel valued, welcome, integrated and included in the workforce instead of unappreciated, ignored, and isolated.

My parents have told me my entire life that I shouldn’t care about what people think. When, during my K-12 school years, some of my classmates laughed at my nerdiness, my style, my accent, or anything else, my parents often told me that those individuals didn’t buy my clothes or feed me, so I should just ignore them. Although it’s easier said than done, their advice has stayed with me over the years.
