He was born as Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in the town of Porbander in the state of what is now Gujarat on 2 October 1869. Mahatma Gandhi (that means “big soul” Gandhi) taught the world faith in truth and justice for all mankind. He was a great soul who loved just those who fought against his ideals to bring about peace with non-violence. His goal was to help to alleviate poverty, liberate women and end the caste discrimination system, with the ultimate objective being self-rule for India. He tried to stop the conflict between Hindus and Muslims which led to his assassination by a fanatic Hindu in 1948. Here the Top Ten Fundamentals of Gandhi: 1. Change yourself 2. You are in control. 3. Forgive and let go. 4. Take care of this moment. 5. Without action you aren’t going anywhere. 6. Everyone is human. 7. See the good in people and help them. 8. Persist. 9. Whether it’s a tech start-up or a prestigious global accounting firm, some employers are more desirable than others. For companies, this affects how easily they can recruit; for employees, it’s tied to your professional reputation. Using an extensive professional data set, LinkedIn identified which companies are most attractive to potential candidates in this infographic of LinkedIn’s Most InDemand Employers. What makes these rankings unique is that they’re based on the actual actions of over 175 million professionals. Last year, LinkedIn had over 15 billion interactions between professionals & companies. That data was cross-referenced with thousands of survey responses to pinpoint specific activities that best indicate familiarity and interest in working for a company: connecting with employees, viewing profiles, visiting Company Pages, and following companies. After crunching this data and normalizing for things like company size, the top 100 global list was created. Then LinkedIn profile data was applied to rank the most sought-after employers among professionals in five countries and four job functions. View the full version of the infographic at the link, where the most sought-after companies on LinkedIn's network are visualized by country, city, occupation and industry...

We would like to share 5 best practices based on our expertise and experience in assessing sustainable supply chain excellence.
Today, Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&Co.) announced new Terms of Engagement for its global supply chain that the company says will go beyond mere “do no harm” compliance to actually improve the lives of workers in factories around the world. Under the new approach, LS&Co. will require contract factories to support programs for their workers that align with UN Millennium Development goals.
"Search and social media are joined at the hip – or are they? As search engine rankings get more complex, and the dust has settled on search engine updates from the last 18 month, marketers are left wondering what’s next. Although social media and search engine optimization used to be in two different camps of online marketing, they seem to be increasingly linked together. In 2010, Google implemented a more social friendly search algorithm that took author reputation, bookmarking, commenting and other social “signals” (likes, retweets, shares and more) into account when presenting their search engine results. In addition, they began to implement the “Search Plus Your World” option for searchers who were logged into their Google accounts while searching. Other search engines quickly followed suit, and SEOs everywhere began to emphasize social media for optimization. But what kind of social media and how many social media signals are a factor in search engine results? [...]

Once a quarter or so, I find it valuable to step back and ask: How am I doing? Otherwise, you can end up consumed by work for years at a time and not be really happy, or not be really getting anywhere.

The researchers found that two factors lead to socially responsible practices: supply chain complexity and product visibility. As product visibility increased, so did the use of social practices. Firms engage in responsible practices to protect high-profile brands. Also, as the number of companies in the supply chain increased, so did the use of supplier labour practices, codes of conduct and social audits
According to popular research, supply chain risk is a very hot topic in corporate board room discussions. Thus, it is often practical to consider risk categories as a starting point for an initial value assessment of a supply chain. Besides supply risk, regulatory compliance is one of the greatest areas of supply chain concern. “Increased market and business leadership pressure to account for supply chain risk has put intense pressure on vendor management offices to have deep visibility into the supply chain and a broad set of risk mitigation plans. Most companies, overwhelmed with this task, only track supplier health indicators that are easy to collect and plug into standard risk assessments. This approach inadequately separates the suppliers that may be in trouble from those that are truly at risk.” –Procurement Strategy Council
It doesn’t really matter how much you study it, it’s almost impossible to get the perfect SEO (Search Engine Optimization) score for any long period of time. Each search engine has their own algorithm to rank websites, and as if that wasn’t complicated enough, they change that algorithm frequently in order to perfect it and make sure that the same sites don’t hog up the top positions simply because they’ve figured out the x-factor in the algorithm to dodge other more popular sites that have the traffic, content mass, and extensive Internet presence enough to be ranked at the top. I would probably need an endless number of articles to cover all the different aspects of the perfect SEO, and if I tried to do that, I would probably not be able to pinpoint it anyway.
