Benjamin Martinez's curator insight,

What I have found out throughout my first year of college is that writing surely is a long creative process. Personally, I have also realized that writing is difficult due to the fact that one would have to make a long series of word choices as they try to send and or explain the purpose of the paper. I suppose I mostly related to this article because there was many times where I felt like my brain was fried and I had nothing more to say in my essays. But the truth is, all a person has to do is relax and organize your thoughts. There is always something more a person can say or even type down. It is just important to know the context and how to write something with proper content. So when anyone has problems writing a paper, it is important to realize it’s normal because writing is an action of collaborating thoughts. People should really learn to take their time to question and outline when they want or have to efficiently compose some sort of draft.

I chose this article to read because everyone gets stuck when writing. It's not secret that in a Literature class, you'll have a hard time getting started. I found this helpful because there were some ideas I never would have though of on my own. For example, I rarely go for walks but it can really get me thinking about a topic or get my ideas flowing. Also taking a notepad with you to jot down things is a good idea. You may see all types of things in your surroundings that get you to thinking. |
