Though the point of subscriptions for music streaming is to be more affordable, they barely make enough to pay artist for plays. It may seem that you are paying less for music through subscription but if you are like me (I mostly listen to the same music) then you will be paying more over time. Piracy has evolved into streaming if you ask me.
The source seems to come from a reliable source but when I clicked into one of the source links, it brought me to another one of his publications. Making it questionable to me.
However, I found this publication to be insightful and a good informational resource for audio industry professionals.
