I like how it says that it becomes epidemic of children being without their dad. But also, it is really upsetting that there are no real man in their community. Also, there are no work and nothing to do. Because of that women have to do everything. This is another example of gender differences and where women have to do everything in order to survive.

I may be a SWERF because I do still think there is something wrong with people selling themselves to provide sex. I'm not a radical feminist but I do think our culture is still very much male dominated. You can see it very clearly when you look at the type of humour on TV. Not much of it seems that funny to me. But, I'm not a guy. Anyway, if sex weren't for sale would men ask for it in more accepted ways or would they choose to become aggressive and take sex instead? That would be up to the type of man they are and the culture they grow up in.

Twenty years ago I first asked two questions that continue to unsettle me today. The first is answerable: What does a woman who sells sex accomplish that leads to her being treated as fallen, beyond the pale, incapable of speaking for herself, discountable if she does speak, invisible as a member of society? The answer is she carries a stigma. The second question is a corollary: Why do most public conversations focus on laws and regulations aimed at controlling these stigmatized women rather than recognizing their agency?
