This post builds on Andy Crestodina excellent 27 Complaints About Web Design Firms. This is really a story in two parts and one I know well.

I purchased web design services for seven years as a Director of Ecommerce and then sold them as Marketing Director for one of the largest web design firms in the southeast (Atlantic BT).
