A puzzle with dice of discovery, interpretation, ideation, experimentation and evolution—in real-world scenarios when clubbed to solve it in a structured method is termed as Design Thinking, in other words, “its a problem solving framework”. https://walkingtree.tech/all-about-design-thinking/

These 10 infographics will teach you many essential elements to begin to know about Responsive Website Design- a major design trend for 2013.

Simply put, Responsive Website Design is a way for designers to create one website with a few style sheets, which allows the website to be seen on any device without having to create it from scratch for a tablet, mobile device, desktop device, etc.

With Mobile Search increasing rapidly, having a website that works for every device is a necessity and responsive design allows the site to reformat content appropriately.

10 Tips To Build A Responsive Website [Infographic]

10 Tips To Build A Responsive Website [Infographic] | Digital Collaboration and the 21st C. | Scoop.it

Want your website to look great on smartphones, tablets, PCs and even TVs? Learn how to go fully responsive.

The Web and the mobile browsers remain one of the top ways that users interact with websites and if they have trouble on their smartphone, there is a good chance they are not coming back.

That’s where responsive design can help.

Responsive design is a concept where you build your website once and then format it so it can adapt to any screen size that accesses it. Designers use HTML5 and CSS to build the sites and set parameters so the content will resize itself whether the user is in vertical or horizontal viewing mode, on a tablet, desktop or smartphone or even a screen as large as a television...

Is Data Visualization Art?

Is Data Visualization Art? | Digital Collaboration and the 21st C. | Scoop.it

Data Visualization is driven by data. Its form is often derived from optimizing the efficiency of inputting data (and information about that data) into a human brain. It is a very pragmatic practice, built around numbers and logic.

And yet it is beautiful. It evokes emotions. It can be aesthetically pleasing, or hideous. It communicates complex concepts and provokes thought. It is consumed for enjoyment. Some visualizations even share similarities with poetry.

There are several stages in the life cycle of data visualizations, and while the core of the practice is driven by rational thinking, any number of stages in the process have opportunities for subjective decisions or artistic interpretations...

Models For Designing Your Personal Learning Environment | LEARNingPath

Models For Designing Your Personal Learning Environment | LEARNingPath | Digital Collaboration and the 21st C. | Scoop.it

A personal learning environment (PLE) is a solution for keeping up with the rapid pace of knowledge change. Some say it is a concept, while others say it is a technology.

I think a good definition is this: a self-directed and evolving environment of tools, services and resources organized by a person seeking a way to accomplish lifetime learning, to create, and to connect with others of similar interests.

Because it is personalized, everyone’s PLE will be unique. Because it is collaborative, information may be continually created and shared. In the workplace, designing a personal learning environment has the potential to partially replace conventional courses.

Visual Loop's selection of keynotes, TED Talks, and interviews by some of the top names in the field:

From Visualoop.com:

After the success of our collection of data visualization presentations a few weeks ago, we decided to push even further our research of multimedia resources and take the risk of selecting some videos. And we say risk, because the abundance of data visualization videos on the Internet is simply mind-blowing. Just think about it: How many events are there about information visualization? Dozens, maybe hundreds every year. Then, add the documentaries, interviews and educational videos, and soon you’ll realize, like we did, that this list could easily be up to one hundred or more. That means that a lot of good stuff was left behind, so apologies for that – but feel free to leave your recommendations in the comments section. Also, please note that some of these videos are over one hour long.
