It is a great shame that Civilization has gone over to Steam. It is the only game worth buying (OK, Total War, Europa Universalis and a few others) but if Steam makes it so that it requires an internet account etc. then I for one will get a cracked copy from the market. I am not prepared to pay for the inconvenience of not being able to use things as and when I want and I normally want a game when the internet is down (which is very often in most of the world). Too many people think that America is the only civilization, even those that play this game, and that everywhere is like the west but it is not. Most of the world has slow, unreliable internet connection. I want things that work on the train as well as on my laptop during the almost daily power cuts.
