You have probably never heard of GPT-2 but it is a breakthrough in AI that has astonishing implications for us all, especially in learning. GPT-2 is an AI model that can predict the next word from a given piece of text. Doesn't sound like much but it's odd that an OpenAI, an open-source site, would close access to their software. In practice, this means it is a powerful model for:
   Summarising
   Comprehension
   Question answering
   Translation

Open access (OA) means making research publications freely available so anyone can benefit from reading and using research.

Open access can be more than making research available to read, but also allowing others to re-use that research. For example, allowing the content to be analysed using text mining1 or reused for commercial purposes. Research data is also increasingly made available openly.
