I like case studies that deliver great lessons. This is one of them.
Like many of us, Mars Dorian receives a lot of spam pitches in his inbox. He used to condemn the practice until he realized that he was doing it himself.
What follows is a list of three major tips:
- Your recipients are human beings with names
- Don't just aim for relevancy. Be patient too.
- Follow up!
One I would add is: Have your emails proofread.
To me, this article serves as a reminder that there are human beings at the other end of the "line". We must treat them as such.
