Beth Dichter's insight:

Here is a new tool (at least to me) that allows you to create online content. In fact, you can get an educator account and have students also create content (but make sure to have permission from parents for students under the age of 13).

You can get an educator account or your school may want to sign-up. School wide features include:

  • Lesson tracking (allowing you to see students progress)
  • Lesson sharing and collaboration
  • Common Core, NextGen Science and custom standards – helping you align lessons

You can easily

  • Add, insert and delete resources from the web
  • Group resources, lessons and organize your students
  • Add questions to videos

Take a few minutes to click through to the website and check it out. You may find yourself creating a new lesson!

"School leaders often ask us: “How do I select the right content for my blended classroom?”  To help answer this question, we’ve developed a “How-to Select Digital Content” info-graphic and guide."

Beth Dichter's insight:

This infographic provides great ideas on how to select contentn for blended classrooms. There are four recommended steps:

1. Define your needs.

2. Research to determine which tools will best meet those needs.

3. Explore the tools that you find or ask vendors to come in and/or demonstrate when possible.

4. Select the tools.

And before final choices are made share the information with faculty. To help with theresearch phase there is a rubric within the infographic.
