If you are looking for free and open source materials one great place to check out periodically is Open Culture. Richard Bryne shared that "they launched a new collection of more than 200 free video lessons, apps, ebooks, and website for K-12students and teachers...which includes...items that were new to me...like this Shakespeare app and this Google Earth for science teacher resource." Links to a number of resources are embedded in his post.
