Three Good Tools for Building Flipped Lessons That Include Assessment Tools

Three Good Tools for Building Flipped Lessons That Include Assessment Tools | Eclectic Technology | Scoop.it
Beth Dichter's insight:

Are you interested in flipping part of your class and would like to know some tools that would also allow you to add assessments to videos. Richard Byrne has three suggestions and all are free!

*eduCanon - Quoting from the post "eduCanon allows teachers to build flipped lessons using YouTube and Vimeo videos, create questions about the videos, then assign lessons to their students."

*Teachem uses the TED-Ed model. Choose videos that are hosted on YouTube. Add questions and comments. Videos may be public or private.

*Knowmia is a website and iPad app and their website has over 17,000 videos that you may use. You may also create your own. Knowmia has been designed for teachers and students and provides an Assignmen Wizard and is adding additional  features.

If you looking for a tool that allows you to flip a lesson and also include an assessment these three provide a variety of options. Have fun exploring and finding the one that will work best for you.

Beth Dichter's insight:

Here are ten free tech tools you may want to check out for your classroom. They range from iTalc, which is a free lab management system, allowing you to see what students are viewing and limit access to sites to Storytelling Aice, a program that allows students to learn to program to Ribbon Hero 2, put out by Microsoft this is a game that helps you learn to navigate the ribbon. An additional seven tools are also shared.

Bubbl.us made this list and I think it can be a great educational tool! Mind mapping helps learners to organize information more clearly, and clearly organized content is essential to retaining  information. There are other interesting tools here as well.

Collaboratively Create Multimedia Documents With Lucidpress

Collaboratively Create Multimedia Documents With Lucidpress | Eclectic Technology | Scoop.it

"Lucidpress is a slick new service from the same team that developed Lucidchart. Lucidpress is a slick tool for collaboratively creating multimedia documents."

Beth Dichter's insight:

Richard Byrne has explored Lucidpress, a new tool from the creators of Lucidchart (which is one of the best deals around for educators for creating mindmaps) and states "I look at Lucidpress as being the best of Apple's Pages and the best of Google Documents combined into one slick service."

Like Lucidchart this tool is built for collaboration. The site states “receive feedback from coworkers…collaborate with anyone on any browser, anywhere. With live chat, document presence, and commenting, you’ll never have to compile scribbled feedback…”

Educators will be pleased to hear that free accounts are available.
