Do you have a great idea for you classroom but you need to find a grant to make it happen? If so, check out GetEdFunding, a new site sponsored by CDWG. This post states that "currently, there are more than 750 grants and rewards on the site."

Justin Marquis explores this issue, suggesting that "teachers are suffering from a severe case of learned helplessness." He looks at collective bargaining, communication (or lack of), standardized testing and funding cuts, and proposes a solution.
