Read&Write Gold has released a great study skills toolbar that works in Chrome. The tool bar, from their textHelp, provides a dictionary, a picture dictionary, a reading tool bar (with read, pause reading and stop reading), and more. Have you wanted a tool that would allow you to upload a PowerPoint (or pictures) and type in text, and have it read to you? Well now you can. SlideTalk allows you to upload your slides (or pictures), enter your text and they provide the audio voice over, which is published on YouTube. This post provides an overview by Paul Hamilton as well as 2 PowerPoint slideshows he used from Tar Heel Reader site as well as one from SlideTalk that explains the process. There are many ways one could use this tool.
