Talking Teaching by the Ako Aotearoa Academy

Talking Teaching - is the name of New Zealand’s biggest tertiary teaching conference, run at the end of each year for tertiary teachers by the Ako Aotearoa Academy of Tertiary Teaching Excellence -  tertiary teachers who are recipients of the Ako Aotearoa National Teaching Excellence Awards. We have adopted the name for this site as a response to experiences with remote teaching bought on by the Covid19 pandemic.

While many will soon resume some form of on-campus teaching, we live in uncertain times. Some will return only to find themselves teaching duplicate courses - remote and on-campus.  Others will be unable to return for personal health reasons.  And we may be required to shift to forms of remote teaching once again at short notice.
