What Some Teens Are Using Instead Of Snapchat And Instagram To Share Pictures In Class - Business Insider

What Some Teens Are Using Instead Of Snapchat And Instagram To Share Pictures In Class - Business Insider | EFL and ESL Techno Skills | Scoop.it

"I went home last week and did everything one normally does over the holidays: I got together with my family and, in the spirit of Christmas, grilled my teenage cousins about what apps they're using on their iPhones.

They named two of the usual suspects, Snapchat and Instagram. They laughed in my face when I asked what they thought about Facebook. "It's for moms," one explained to me.

Insightful, but not out of the ordinary. Then my 13-year-old cousin asked me if I knew what AirDrop was."

This is something that educators need to know about.  I tried it at home with my phone and it is very very easy.  Great tool if you are out with family and friends.  I like that you can limit to people in your contacts list.

20 years on: How education has changed - Innovate My School | EFL and ESL Techno Skills | Scoop.it

Technology allows me to assess my students in ways that simply was not possible formerly. I can see at the tap of a screen or a click of a button what level each student has attained and I can then plan accordingly. Differentiated instruction really becomes achievable with such technology, not only in the level of tasks set, but in the way in which students can tackle their work.
