BRITTANY DAVENPORT, 1993-2012
Brittany Davenport, the youngest of three daughters, drew the short straw. She was afflicted almost from birth with cystic fibrosis, a recessive genetic condition that affects organs in the body, in particular the lungs and pancreas. That didn't stop her from participating at school, or prevent her following her sisters into surf lifesaving.
PM - As a fellow parent, I am sure all our hearts go out to Brittany's parents today. Stay strong and remember how wonderful our lives are thanks to the gift of children.
