Social #distancing is hard for #kids and #teens--it's hard for all of us, but them in particular. I walk my dog and often see lots of middle school/high schoolers close together on a dock nearby. As a #parent that is frustrating since they are perfectly old enough to grasp the reality of the situation and about the importance of #health. Younger kids though, don't necessarily have the same comprehension of what is going on. Asking them to wear a mask can be frightening for them as well as uncomfortable. So how do we even keep it on them? Try doing dress up or a superhero maybe? And how we talk to them has to be well thought through. We don't want to scare them or make them feel that they will hurt their grandparents or get them sick. What we want to emphasize is that we are all doing a favor for our friends, because it helps keep them and their families healthy.
