Gender and art

The Prix VIRGINIA is organized by the Association SYLVIA S. It recognizes the work of a woman photographer.
Awarded every other year, beginning in 2012, the Prix Virginia is open to all living professional women photographers, regardless of age or nationality, with the exception of photojounalisms and advertising. In 2012, the British photographerLiz Hingley, won the Prix VIRGINIA, with her series which focus on poverty in the UK.

Applicants may submit their works before May, 16 2014. The Winner will be announced in October 2014.

On November 27 at the Hôtel National des Invalides, Sarah Moon received the Prix Excellence Française. She was sponsored by Viviane Esders. This video was shown during the ceremony.
