This July marks the return of an annual art installation in Agueda, Portugal featuring Ivo Tavares Studio‘s colorful street canopies made of hovering umbrellas.

Granted, this porous garland of parasols does a more efficient job shading against the sun than sheltering from precipitation, but the highly photogenic installation has turned some of Agueda’s shopping streets into cheery, makeshift arcades that have generated an overwhelmingly positive response...
