"Words come and go, in and out of fashion. And when the topics of discussion are screen-production, screen-media, technology and narrative, words can fall out of fashion very quickly.
Even those words that begin with clear intentions and a desire to be useful descriptors, can quickly be hijacked and malformed into contestants for the ongoing game of buzzword bingo. ‘Transmedia’ is just such a word. With the term ‘Trans’ simply meaning ‘to move’, the notion of Transmedia as “narratives that move across different media-forms”, it’s a perfectly apt description." Via mirmilla

An interesting approach ... which can also be considered in the opposite direction from another interesting post of Mediastorm (I Hate ‘Multimedia’ http://bit.ly/12pTiRl)
Again, the words are struggling to chase the technological and social innovations.

Once again Susan Oxnevad has created a great tool in Google Docs. This one will elp students with multimedia presentations
"The Google Docs Presentation is well-suited for use as a starting point for short student driven research projects because of the availability of efficient integrated research tools right on the page. To introduce students and teachers to the built in features, I created a simple template to guide the learning and help everyone discover the usefulness of the tool."
