Two Englishmen have seemingly created the soundtracks to my life. @XTCFans (Andy Partridge) & David Bowie. Thank you. My heart belonged to Bowie in 1980 when Ashes to Ashes came out. My soul belonged to Andy Partridge that same year when Black Sea was released. I traded my Import copy of Sid Sings (Sid Vicious) for it - I still have the album & paper sleeve. I remember dancing around my bedroom before I left for the bus stop to High School, blasting and singing this song at the top of my lungs. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Senses working Overtime! Then changing the numbers into Russian singing them trying to make them fit. (Because I was taking Russian language in HS - it was the cold war, don't judge me) Adin, dva, tree, etc. Then screaming out England's Glory! A striking beauty! (Victorian matches) When those subtly layered tracks were heard. It wasn't until later, years later, when the Internet came around to me in the early 90's that I could Look up what was "A striking Beauty" and found out. Thank you, Andy.

Breathe deep, smile, live NOW. I have certain things I think about when I meditate or get massage and body work done. Guided imagery. It's so important to try and get quiet, clear your mind if interfering thoughts and ideas...and just be. I imagine a burlap sack of wheat or grain on the back of a wagon on the main street of an old west town. Strange, I know - but it works. I can hear it, smell it, feel it. I am the grain. OR sometimes just a babbling brook in a wooded green area is lovely, too! I also think @ivon_ehd1 is pretty amazing. I'd suggest following him on Twitter. Great post - LOVE the first 3 paragraphs! But the "battle-blind birds pecking for seeds between the corpses" sorta a little too graphic for me! LOL Darn pecking birds!

You know in a sometimes child worshiping hellicopter pandering & super spoiling society that can create ego driven self-entitled & absorbed selfish hellions this is an AWESOME GIVING alternative!
Not that I have ANY opinion about this at all! LOL
Ask yourself - do kids have chores? Do they contribute? Is every pout pandered to? Let's get kids thinking OUTSIDE themselves and help create a charitable character! Choose civility!

This may look completely off topic, but it reminded me of elementary lessons when I paired books with food: The Big Hungry Bear with strawberries, Muncha! Muncha! Muncha! with carrots. Imagine The Little Red Hen, or even better The Stinky Cheese Man paired with freshly made bread! Imagine how wonderful your library would smell!
