It is true when our hot buttons get pushed -- sometimes we may react in a way that is not our best self. It is like we have been hijacked, and we have lost control. Essentially we are letting someone else take control of our actions and behaviors.

Instead of reacting negatively...take some time to figure out why, and be honest with what you are going through. For instance, "I didn't like that my colleague questioned me." Secondly, figure out how you felt did you feel angry, disrespected, hurt, etc.
Once you understand your emotions better all you have to do is come up with strategies to take charge of your emotions so that you can respond with your best you!
