It is astonishing that Roman Aqueduct share the same concept of 20th century Los Angeles water supplies.  What is even crazier is the fact that some of these aqueducts are still being used today.  This article proves that science and engineering were outstanding with the limited resources they had in ancient civilization.  It is pretty cool that engineers today draw from their roots for concepts and ideas.
