Think back to days (possibly dating back to prehistoric man) when one used a stick to poke a beehive for the honey; then, the honey was scraped off the stick to be eaten later. Of course, the honey could be licked right off the stick possibly marking the beginning for what we know today as the lollipop.

If the title of this posting had been 'Cake', there would be no question as to what it is about. There are thousands of different types of cakes in the world today, each culture with its own specialties, many of which never reach America's shores. For the cake, we need icing and one might want to try something different perhaps topping it off with penuche frosting. That's one possibility for penuche. Let's add a little extra pizazz to the title: Penuche Fudge. Now, let's get on with the celebration!

Yep! Another food holiday...not just any food but chocolate...not just any chocolate nor chocolate alone but chocolate swirling over, under, around and through salty peanuts! WOW! A crunchy bunch of peanuts held together by chocolate! With all the chocolate and nutty days already celebrated, why not one more! Right? Dieting went to pot during Thanksgiving and Christmas, now the push for chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate is making weight watching almost an impossibility.
