LGBTQ community group Stonewall Columbus is moving forward with plans to open a new community center on Fourth and High Streets. At an event unveiling plans Sunday, they were met by demands from protesters.

"We've just reached a goal of about $3.5 million in pledged gifts to build out the community center and make it more accessible and make it a little bit bigger," said Executive Director Karla Rothan.
Following criticisms from gay rights activists that Stonewall isn't inclusive enough, Stonewall leaders said they are taking big steps to bring everyone in.
