Guilford Green Foundation and LGBTQ Center opened on Greene Street in Greensboro, N.C., on Friday, January 17, 2020. More than $150,000 was raised last year to completely renovate the new space. It provides more than 1,800-square feet of space with multiple meeting areas, a lounge, and a library where people can check out LGBTQ-related media and find local resources.

Inside Elon University’s Moseley Center, there’s a rainbow office space making strides in LGBT-inclusion in the nation, state and Alamance County. Matthew Antonio Bosch has been the director of the Gender and LGBTQIA Center at the university since it was founded in 2013. That first year, Elon was ranked 370th on Campus Pride’s Index of best LGBT-friendly campuses, with two out of five stars.

In January, the GLBT Center will celebrate its 10th anniversary at NC State. Talk of the GLBT Center began in August 2007, and a grand opening was planned for January 2008. However, the center itself was not operating until that April — since then, it has seen a lot of growth.
