Norman celebrated its first Pride parade on Saturday, August 26, with a large turnout of families, kids, students and individuals of all ages. The parade took place along Main Street, Crawford Avenue and Comanche Street. It followed a weekend of Pride activities including a kick-off party on Friday and a festival on Saturday. Local businesses, vendors, nonprofit organizations and many others marched in the parade.

Oklahoma City’s first nonprofit agency to provide Gender Diverse/LGBTQ health services opened its doors on Feb. 12.  About 60 people attended an open house event at the Diversity Center of Oklahoma’s new location at 2242 NW 39th Street. Visitors toured the facility, enjoyed refreshments, and heard comments from a number of the Diversity Center staff, support personnel and patrons.
