Information and digital literacy in education via the digital path

This week at ISTE 2016 Google and Samsung had large booth displays devoted to virtual reality headsets. The proliferation of virtual reality headsets has been the catalyst for some good conversations about the value of virtual reality in education. Many have wondered if it is a novelty or if could have a meaningful impact on students. I have been a part of those conversations.

The ISTE conference isn’t the biggest edtech conference in the world by sheer luck. It brings together K-12 educators, companies, reporters, university professors, and students to talk about product announcements, implementation strategies and edtech trends.

This year’s gathering, spread over several hotels and the Denver Convention Center, drew over 15,000 people into to these conversations. We caught a few tidbits—take a look below.
