Information and digital literacy in education via the digital path

Next-gen security offers sophisticated web filtering technologies for higher education environments.  While some colleges and universities may deploy web filtering to block internal users from accessing certain content or websites, more and more higher ed institutions are turning to increasingly sophisticated web filtering to handle a wide variety of external security threats, particularly with the advent of bring-your-own-device (BYOD) programs.

Following on from the Further Education report we launched in June, we are delighted to be able to share our similar exploration of the Higher Education sector. Our insight draws on in-depth contributions from senior academics (including the views of three leading Vice-Chancellors) and professional staff at Anglia Ruskin University, University of Bedfordshire, Bishop Grosseteste University, University of East Anglia, Leeds Trinity University, Loughborough University, University of Northampton, University of Nottingham, Plymouth University, Queen’s University Belfast, and University of Salford, as well as a survey of over 100 professional staff working in HE.
