Students often put in a great deal of time and energy into learning course material, yet their efforts are often less than fruitful. Week after week, we witness students arriving to lecture—seemingly prepared—armed with planners, Post-its, highlighters, and tablets. With such obvious effort poured into their preparation, it can be tough to grasp why these same students are often performing poorly on exams.

Our Digital Skills Awareness course is available for higher education (HE) institutions to roll out to students before they start university. This resource will provide new students with advice and guidance to help them have a successful learning experience at university.

This is a pre-enrolment course making students aware of the digital skills required for studying. It is available under Creative Commons Licence. I recommend it because it is a good introductory content that you can adapt and I contributed to this as part of the working group.
