Information and digital literacy in education via the digital path

There is a new digital divide on the horizon. It is not based around who has devices and who does not, but instead the new digital divide will be based around students who know how to effectively find and curate information and those who do not.

The technology I blog about has helped me not only in my teaching but also in my research as a graduate student in The Mount University, department of education. From note-taking to reference mining and data curation, technology has always been the magic stick I lean on to organize my digital workflow and increase my academic productivity. I know the majority of the readers of EducationalTechnology and Mobile Learning are related, in a way or another, to academia and several of you are graduate or post graduate students like me and this is why I sometimes I find myself obliged to sit down and share with my fellow academics the best technology tips and tools I discover and which can hep them in their academic endeavours.
