Nextly is a free web app which allows you to create collections of web pages that can be easily navigated as a tour on any device. Via the integrated Add Page feature or the accompanying bookmarklet you can add just about any web page to one of your collections, as well as content coming from Twitter, Facebook or RSS feeds and other social media. A unique characterizing feature of Nextly is that the content of a collection gets pre-loaded when accessed by a user, making the browsing through elements of the collection quite fast. When browsing through a Nextly collection all original web pages are reproduced as they appear on the web, and are rapidly pre-fecthed to provide a faster loading experience. My comment: Potentially a valuable content curation tool to organize specific sets of articles and distribute them in a format that is effective ad easy to access. It can be used also as an effective new reader and news discovery tool. Free to use. Try it out now: http://nextly.com/ Sample collection: http://nextly.com/hackernews

I'm going to have to investigate this further to see how practical it REALLY is. It seems like every week there's something else like this that comes out.
One thing that occurs to me thought: I wonder if it would be possible to use this or tools like it, to create sellable content...some new type of curated content ebook?

Busca, recopila, organiza y publica Colecciones de vídeo en tu sitio con Huzzaz

According to the site, they have the ability to strip the ads off the videos you put on your lists. Makes me wonder how YouTube and Vimeo will react once they realize they aren't getting ad-views. And if there are no ad-views, how the makers will feel about the loss of revenue? The founder is James Yang. There's a nice article about him on Social Times: http://socialtimes.com/huzzaz-makes-it-easy-to-create-and-share-video-playlists_b136571 From the article: Huzzaz is a passion project. “I just want to create something that helps make the world a better place.”

Mi limito a tradurre all'impronta la recensione di Robin Good

Thank you Pawan for your kind response. Being the ebook your company has just released brand new, I found it curious to find in it examples that are "dead links" as for http://www.kevingleary.net/curated and sites that have not been updated in over a year as in www.brownbailout.com. I definitely am aware that sites on the web change with no advance notice, but for a "curated" ebook like this, two and half bad links outside of a total of 16 is not to me something to skip over.
In your place I think I would have acknowledged more openly the evident mistakes and would have worked around the clock to release a new, better and corrected version. To me, this is the essence of what a company that claims to do "top curation work" should do. What's your take?

Robin, thank you once again for pointing out the broken link.
There's only ONE broken link of which I am aware. The creation of eBook has been a four month long process and during the course of it one of the links has gone dark. The Color Association of the United States is a perfectly valid, and captivating example of picture curation, as noted in my previous comment. Lastly, the FedEx site is a perfectly valid example of curation that has served its purpose (criticizing the bailout), and is hence no longer updated -- but is still an interesting example of curation as a marketing tool. There's nothing "curious" going on here. One of the sites has gone dark, as you pointed out. We have since updated the eBook to denote that the site is no longer active. Thanks for sharing the link -- hope you and your readership enjoy it.

Thank you Pawan for your kind clarifications that allow me to better appreciate this good editorial work you have done.
I think this type of publication is right on the mark in serving the needs of your audience and my criticism was only directed at highlighting how important, for anyone involved in this field, me included, to pay great attention to details as the reader often does not have the time to appreciate what is not immediately evident. Please keep up such great work as it helps the whole industry grow while educating customers with great examples. |

Interesting looking tool. In Beta so it will only get better. UI is a bit ugly but that's not a deal breaker.

Sometimes you need an archive of a site. Gret for slow bandwidth areas when you just want to show an aspect of a site. Here is how.
