Interesting article on the importance of using both digital and print resources in the classroom. Article points out that many students still prefer resources found in books as they provide a different more tangible experience than online or digital content. As teachers we need to find a way to balance the use of technology and paper resources to provide students with the best of both worlds.

Hi Caitlin, this article particularly stood out to me on your curated scoop.it blog as there is a massive push for schools and teachers to be incorporating high levels of technology into each lesson with the goal of optimising student learning outcomes. However, as this article states, technology is not the only resource that teachers should be implementing in their classes as students can learn just as much if not more from a old school text book or novel or even just writing with pen and paper. It is shown in many studies that typing will never replace the effectiveness that handwriting has on memorising the information on the brain. Although, technology is still important to use in the 21st century as a teacher, it is still important to be able to use the traditional resources of a classroom. I agree with you in your statement that teachers do need to find the balance between paper resources and technology to cater for the best of both worlds, as it is often forgotten in the push for teachers to be using technology in their classrooms.
