Darla Hatton and her teenage daughter have researched and/or tested these 13 apps, and found them especially helpful. They know that every person has slightly different needs, but it’s worth taking the time to find out which apps work for your child.

Speech-language pathologist, Joan L. Green, makes her app picks for kids with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. These apps were selected based on the option to individualize them for a child's particular needs. Some of these look really promising. I think you could use some of these apps with all kinds of kids, especially younger kids!
