OPINION | In a cynical society, otherworldly performances such as Usain Bolt’s can’t be fully celebrated. Usain Bolt has never been tested positive for using drug enhancing drugs. Is it then fair that we treat his performances with skepticism? Innocent until proven guilty or guilty until proven innocent?

Syrian 400m hurdler Ghfran Almouhamad is disqualified from the Olympics after testing positive for a banned substance. Yet another case of banned substances use at the Olympics, ultimately forfeiting the athletes training and performance whilst shaming herself, her team and her country.
