This article is a fantastic example of a very basic concept: opportunity cost. Public spending on the coronavirus crisis has reached £190bn.
Overall, government borrowing is likely to rise to over £300bn, as the OBR have estimated. However, there's criticism of a lack of targeted public spending - not least in Leicester, which has gone back into lockdown - and some sector, notably the car industry and gyms who weren't offered any support yesterday.
