The domestic story of the day is the Chancellor's speech to the Conservative Party Conference which is going to be pro-business. This isn't so much of the story, in fact the fact that he feels the need to do it at all is the most remarkable thing.
That said, the older I get, the more I feel that Party Conferences have as much impact as farting in an empty room.
