Campaign group says tax bill for main service company could be wiped out under ‘super-deduction’ policy
Graham Watson's insight:

One of the unusual elements of the Budget was the prospect of the super-deduction of 130% for investment, and a number of commentators have highlighted the fact that large firms might benefit the most.

In this case, pressure group, TaxWatch, suggests that the untargeted aspect of the policy means that Amazon are going to be able to offset all of their tax bill. This seems inequitable - Amazon doesn't pay much tax on its sales in the UK, because it officially collects the vast majority of its UK sales in Luxembourg, but will it be able to claim the super-deduction?
