#HR #RRHH 8 Ways to Be Happy and Productive in Your Home Office

#HR #RRHH 8 Ways to Be Happy and Productive in Your Home Office | #HR #RRHH Making love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

Working from home is everyone's dream, right? If that's true, then why did 60 percent of the employees who participated in a Stanford University work-from-home experiment opt to go back to corporate HQ?

The 2013 study offered a sampling of employees in the air travel and hotel booking industry an opportunity to work from home for nine months. Surprisingly, many of them had a very lonely experience. After only a few months, 50 percent of the volunteers and 10 percent of the non-volunteer group asked to return to their cubicles.

Loneliness and lack of social interaction were cited as the No. 1 reason for abandoning home offices, but these aren't the only drawbacks. How can you have your cake and eat it, too? Because I've successfully worked from home for nearly 16 years, I consider myself an expert on the topic.

10 Words Smart People Always Use (and 7 They Never Do)

10 Words Smart People Always Use (and 7 They Never Do) | #HR #RRHH Making love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it
"If" improves performance when describing a hypothetical positive.

Here's a universal truth. No one likes to be wrong, especially in front of other people.

When you're facing a lot of "I don't knows" during a brainstorm or tough challenge, there's a word that can alleviate the pressure of being wrong and open up a pathway of critical thinking: If

Tim David, author of Magic Words: The Science and Secrets Behind Seven Words That Motivate, Engage, and Influence, employs this magic word in a very specific sentence I plan to borrow a lot:

"What would you say if you did know?"

As he explains, deploying the magic "if" allows those you're addressing to think hypothetically, taking away the pressure that might prevent them from volunteering an answer.

The rights words can motivate, inspire, and even change lives. The right words can turn an otherwise meaningless conversation into an unforgettable moment for your audience.

But" as in "I hear what you say BUT" . It means I haven't heard
"Hope" There is a complete lack of certainty and confidence in this word. Having a game plan beats "Hoping" to win.

How Positive Emotions Lead to Better Health

How Positive Emotions Lead to Better Health | #HR #RRHH Making love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

New research suggests that meditation or any other mood-enhancing activity can serve as a nutrient for the human body.

“Positive emotion, positive social connections, and physical health influence one another in a self-sustaining, upward-spiral dynamic,” concludes a research team led by psychologist Bethany Kok of the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences. It found upbeat emotions inspired by a meditative practice led to greater feelings of connectedness with others, which positively impacted “a biological resource that has been linked to numerous health benefits.”
