2M Views On G+: Why Google+ Helps Online Davids Slay Giants

2M Views On G+: Why Google+ Helps Online Davids Slay Giants | Must Market | Scoop.it

2M Views On GooglePlus
You may think, "2M views so what, many have more than that," and you would be right and wrong. Right because many friends including @Mark Traphagenand @Neil Ferree(to name just two) have many more G+ followers and views than little ole me.

The point of Social Media Marketing is not to win a horse race. The point is to communicate YOUR message in order to create scaled online community. Once your community more than pays for itself your "degrees of freedom" open up.

If you know of another "moderate effort, HUGE return" tool please share and I will use that one too. In the meantime G+ may be the best "do less, get more" online marketing tool ever created. G+ is Davids stone helping to slay giants - how else can a tribe the 4500 generate views of more than 2M?

So get out your sling and load up some G+ rocks today and your digital marketing will be slaying giants soon too :). M

Once Upon A Time: Overwhelmed By Digital Marketing? Curagami Can Help | Must Market | Scoop.it

The New New Marketing
There was a time before the web when "digital marketing" was somethign you did with your fingers. Then everything changed. Change came fast and furious thanks to Moore's Law - Integrated circuit POWER goes up exponentially even as costs plummet.

Once our digital world got to a certain point, let's call that point X, acceleration accelerates. Mobile throws gasoline on the social fire and gets answered by social media marketing with rocket fuel on the fire.

The resulting explosion in a kingdom called BRANDING in a land far, far away once upon a time...

Remember those great, “This Is Your Brain on Drugs,” commercials? Content Marketing Terms A to Z You Should Know

Content Marketing Terms A to Z You Should Know | Must Market | Scoop.it

Our A to Z of content marketing helps you get a handle on one of the most important aspects of digital marketing. Content marketing is becoming increasingly important (just check out our piece on how content is going to be dominant for 2014).

Via Gwenaël Bonnafoux, Brian Yanish - MarketingHits.com
Martin (Marty) Smith's insight:

This is a cool post format - important content marketing terms with short explanations. The format has more editorial control than it appears because the writer is selecting the terms. I would probably arrange in order of priority. They arrange by alphabetical which makes all terms feel equal...they aren't :). M

GREAT Haiku Deck by Harris (@OptimizePrime). So good its no wonder it has over 50,000 views. What makes it great is how well it understands the "we are all media companies" now riff I laid down in Red Bull Branding Lessons on Curatti (http://curatti.com/red-bulls-branding-lesson-media-companies-now/ ).

The "new seo" and "everyone is a media company" work nicely together. Great and INSIGHTFUL deck by a new trusted SEO source for me.

Redesigning Scoopit and Your Web Design Too - via @Curagami

Redesigning Scoopit and Your Web Design Too - via @Curagami | Must Market | Scoop.it

Scoop.it Redesign Suggestions
Redesigning Scoopit sets a new stage for a favorite content marketing tool. Making Scoopit to be social & to createscommunity can help your web design too.

Things every website design can improve discussed in our Curagami post (www.curagami.com/featured/redesigning-scoopit-web-design/ )::

* Set your “stage” (webpages) to be aligned in a “hierarchy” of need.
* Create feedback loops and expose them (like nonprofits use thermometers to track donations).

* Don’t hide your analytics SHARE THEM.

* Double down on winners, leave laggards behind.
* KNOW what is winning so you can double down.
* Ask for and prize User Generated Content.
* Share MORE and then SHARE MORE.

@Brian Yanish - MarketingHits.com
Brian is a great web marketer and one of the POWER users of Scoop.it. Here is a great comment he left on Curagami about this post:

Marty I agree, I never promote my Scoopit homepage as it has no real value for my visitor. My Google analytics show I get very few visitors to the homepage which makes since because most visitors to Scoop.it are not members so can’t follow us via Scoop.it, but they are following other ways because 48% of them are return visitors.

Looking further into the analytics not many go to the topic homepage either, so I’m testing new ways within my marketing strategy for Scoop.it to engage.

Eg. Pop up and slide up call-to-actions as seen on my hhttp://www.scoop.it/t/marketinghits topic. This pop up also show when someone is coming to a shared post on my topic not just the homepage. Right now it a newsletter sign up, I’m thinking of doing polls, follow me, and maybe even a context are two. On my newsletter sign up is see a 1.4 ctr%

It sure would be nice to have some customization options for the homepage.

** Brian is the MASTER of organization. Check out his Scoop.it presentation (@Brian Yanish - MarketingHits.com ). That is a PR6 webpage using OPT (Other People's Templates) and tool (so impressive). Team at Scoop.it really listens to Brian because he has accomplished a lot with their tool. The Scoop.it team is responsive in general, so, thanks to BY and others, we may get a "homepage" we can use.

Tripping Over The New SEO's 3 Legged Stool via @CrowdFunde

Tripping Over The New SEO's 3 Legged Stool via @CrowdFunde | Must Market | Scoop.it

“There it is,” I said to myself but aloud. As everyone at Triangle Startup Factory turned to look at me I waved them off. How was I going to explain that the 3 word mnemonic we’d been looking for was there sitting there in front of me. Truth be told I tripped over it:

* Story.

* Authority.

* User Generated Content (UGC).

This startup journey is a strange one. Equal parts hard work and CHANCE we throw dice and see how they roll. What about you? You in?

Content Curation Tools: The Ultimate List - Meg Sutton via Curata Blog

Content Curation Tools: The Ultimate List - Meg Sutton via Curata Blog | Must Market | Scoop.it

Great list here, but "ultimate" not even close (lol). A few of my favorite content curation tools NOT mentioned include:

* Google Plus (duh, G+ is a great tool never included in these lists).
* BuzzSumo (tells me what's trending).
* WordPress is another often overlooked curation tool. Wordpress is really thousands of tools thanks to plugins.
* Guess obvious tools like YouTube, Vimeo and Twitter they left off due to how obvious they are.
* Also surprised they don't extend to inbound marketing tools like Marketo, Eloqua and Pardot.
* On the same vein I would include leading CRMs like SalesForce.
* Testing tools like Optimizely are missing too.

Guess the question is where do you draw the line between content sourcing, sharing and blogging. I tend to mashup all of those things and that means "ultimate" would look more like that huge Brian Solis graphic and I suspect that is what this post was trying to avoid.

About half the apps on this list are new to me, so will have fun exploring...again.

Thanks for posting this. Pawan from Curata here.

All the tools you mentioned such as video sharing platforms, A/B testing software, social media channels, etc... fall outside the scope of curation tools.

It sounds like you are looking for a map of content marketing tools, as opposed to our map of content curation tools.
