The mobile market is growing fast. How fast do you ask? At light speed. PCs are becoming an afterthought. Mobile is not just going to be defined to your smartphone anymore. Mobile is going to be on your tablet, car, and clothing. And if Google and Apple’s move into home appliances is any indication mobile will be everywhere. DURING the sweltering heat wave earlier this month, it seemed too hot to wear much, carry much or do much of anything at all. Every time I left the house, I tried to figure out where to stuff my bulky wallet. I always had room for my iPhone, even if it meant carrying it in my hand. But the wallet was one thing too many. Mobile payments are becoming a more efficient way to purchase goods and services. It is only a matter of time before the wallet will become obsolete.

That phone in your pocket? The one that set you back a day’s pay? That thing has more computing power than nasa did in 1969, the year man landed on the moon. It has more editing and filming capability than Orson Welles had when he made “Citizen Kane.” So what if you mainly use your phone to check the time, find directions, or text your vote to “Dancing with the Stars?”...
