Africa is expanding its horizons with new energy sources. They are connective villages to the internet and to renewable solar energy. This is much cheaper than the kerosene they were using. With these new technologies, Africans will be able to participate much more in international relations because they will be more interconnected to the world. This is also giving them more economic opportunities, and is called the "Third Industrial Revolution." In addition to more opportunities, it is improving the lives of many Africans who had previously not had any access to electricity. Personally, I feel this is a great development. It is helping to bring Africa up to the level of MDCs and bringing them out from the dark (they have electricity now... it's not dark... ha.) It is also giving them an opportunity to improve their lives by giving them a chance to have their own businesses and be connected to the world.
