Die französischen Sprachhüter haben sich ein eigenes Wort für den englischen Internetbegriff „hashtag“ ausgedacht. In der Sprache Voltaires wird die Bezeichnung für das Stichwort in Twitter-Nachrichten künftig offiziell „mot-dièse“ lauten.

The American Dialect Society has named "hashtag" as the word of the year, beating out "Gangnam Style," "YOLO" and "fiscal cliff," among others.
